About us

Romantic Ribbons is all about creating, enjoying or visiting urban places and spaces that are freely accessible to all.  Behind the iniative are activists keen to encourage city authorities to improve the public realm.  It's the brainchild of Andrew Stuck, from Rethinking Cities in London.

In 2010, we are teaming up with Living Streets, the national charity that stands up for pedestrians. With their supporters they work to create safe, attractive and enjoyable streets, where people want to walk. Together we will be celebrating London's romantic places, spaces and streets as part of the London Festval of Architecture.

In the United States in 2009, we linked up with the Project for Public Spaces a not-for-profit  organization dedicated to helping people create and sustain public spaces that build stronger communities - we are delighted that they want to continue their support in promoting Romantic Ribbons.
